Double the Pleasure!
MY JOURNALS have not exactly been bereft of excellence of late, what with a corking competition, ball-burstingly brilliant book reviews, an excellent article revealing the incredible work that goes into crafting my adventures, and a mini-escapade featuring my man-servant, Botter. However, I have not chronicled one of my own astonishing adventures since that business with Mr. Cornelius Quaint and that crooked conjurer, Mr. Silas Surprise, way back in March.
Obviously, it is unforgivable to leave my loyal readers deprived of my pulse-pounding adventures! Oh! How dull and dreary your days must have been, dear friends! Which is why I am so very pleased to reveal that you are in for TWO new astonishing adventures o’er the next few weeks! HUZZAH!
The first, pictured above, is ‘Our Mutual Fiends’, wherein Mr. Charles Dickens returns from the grave, accompanied by zombified versions of his literary creations. What does Mr. Dickens want (aside from brains)? How have his characters sprung to (after)life? WHAT THE DICKENS IS GOING ON? Find out the answers to these questions and more, as Botter and I are joined by that smug-faced monster-slayer, Evan Hellsinger, in a new adventure commencing NEXT WEEK!
Regular readers will recall my astounding audio play, ‘Telephonic Mischief’, which was revealed upon a stunned world last year. Well, prepare your ear-holes for more auditory excitement, as a brand new audio adventure is headed your way!
‘The Filching Fog of Finsbury Park’ is a multi-part audio serial, wherein London’s infamous fog seems to have taken to mugging the city’s inhabitants. Could it really be true? Has the fog turned fiend? Can Inspector Spunkleford, Botter and I get to the bottom of this MIST-tery? Join us in a couple of weeks to find out!
You may also notice a slight change to my webbed-site this week, with the addition of my Terrific Toolbar at the bottom of the page. Feel free to explore it at your leisure, and use the functions therein to ensure you subscribe in time to enjoy the new tales, and to help me spread the word – the Astonishing Adventures are BACK, and MORE ASTONISHING than e’er before!
Toodle-pip!
- Lord Likely.
